Ali Baba’s Kitchen Announces Social Media Campaign with Connecticut Food Bloggers To Fundraise for Jane Doe No More
Hamden, CT - February 15, 2024 - Ali Baba’s Kitchen, a popular, family-owned restaurant known for its delicious South Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine, is thrilled to announce the launch of “ABK Bowl Madness” in collaboration with six of Connecticut’s favorite food bloggers: FoodofCT , CTAttractions , NewFoodCT , LifeofRevelry , FoodsWithFinn , and TheBitesChick .
Since July 2023, Ali Baba’s Kitchen has partnered with food bloggers to promote their favorite twists on the restaurant’s signature bowls to fans and customers on social media every month. Starting February 13, 2024, the bloggers will go head-to-head in a competition to have their creation made a permanent menu item at the restaurant. Customers will have the chance to try all specialty items and cast a vote for their favorite. A panel of judges will ultimately decide the winner, they include Alex P Taylor , Lifestyle and TV Contributor, Colin Caplan, founder of Taste of New Haven , Jamshed Khalid, founder and owner of Ali Baba’s Kitchen, and David Brennan, owner of 860 Kombucha , and Nancy Dudchik, President of the Hamden Chamber of Commerce. The winner will be announced at a public celebration party hosted by Ali Baba’s Kitchen on March 13th.
The restaurant is also proud to fundraise for Jane Doe No More with the campaign. Jane Doe No More is a Connecticut-based non-profit whose mission is to empower survivors of sexual crimes to find their voice, advance their healing, and educate others. Throughout the month-long campaign, every vote cast will count as one dollar that Ali Baba’s Kitchen will donate to the organization.
“The initial idea for the campaign was inspired by the success larger brands like Dunkin’ and Mcdonald's have had with celebrity collaborations. We wanted to do this on a smaller scale and celebrate our own local celebrities here in Connecticut and it turned out to be something our customers loved. ‘ABK Bowl Madness’ allows us to keep the momentum going all while giving back and bringing awareness to such an important cause that impacts more people than we think,” said Huda Khalid, Marketing Manager for Ali Baba’s Kitchen.
Customers can visit the restaurant located at 986 Dixwell Avenue in Hamden or order online for pick up and delivery at www.alibabaskitchen.com.
